That is how far the story behind brewing lies.

In 1997, the factory started its operations to later become one of the most demanded and beloved brands. Over these years, we aimed to improve the quality of the product, smoothen the processes, and provide people with the best version of the beverage. Our mission is to create a product, which is the best among the rest. This task has always forced us to find ways to solve it, to achieve the desired result, which, in my opinion, has been achieved through many years of work, efforts, perseverance and sound principles.

We have been brave, we have tried to create lasting value. I dream that our next generations will be freer and more courageous than we have ever been. Because only a free man can create.

Yerevan beer factory was founded in 1952 with 500 000 dal annual capacity. Since then, the factory has been equipped with modern equipment, gradually increasing production capacities.

Since then, the factory has renewed its equipment, gradually increasing production capacities.  Qualified specialists, good materials, and up-to-date technologies are not the only components to make a high-quality beer. Beer production has different peculiarities, which makes it unique. It requires great dedication from manufacturer. They say, in order to achieve the desired result, you should put your heart and soul into the process. And perhaps, this is why brewing is not simply a process, it is rather a lifestyle.

Armenian brewers have kept the beer-making secrets of their ancestors. In Armenian Kingdom brewing began around VII century B.C. In ancient Armenia beer was much more stronger than even the strongest sort of modern beer. The earliest mention about Armenian beer can be found in the book “Anabasis” (5th century B.C.) by Greek writer and historiographer Xenophon. In this book he describes in detail this barley-based beverage: "There were barrels filled with wheat and barley, with the grains of the latter floating on the surface.  People would grab the grains, put them into their mouths and quench their thirst with the juicy crops. When Greeks asked the name of the country, they were told it was called Armenia".

The Yerevan brewery was established in 1952. In 1997, it became a joint-stock company and created the “Kilikia” brand, after which it experienced rapid growth, increasing its production volumes. Following privatization, significant credit resources were attracted, new technologies were implemented, and as a result of this continuous development, Yerevan Beer CJSC now produces high-quality beer, mineral waters, soft drinks, natural juices and nectars, compotes, jams and preserves, grape leaves, all fully complying with international standards.
